Dear Friends,
During recent years, we have devoted much effort in seeking a new generation
to carry onward GINA Gallery’s unique mission on behalf of naïve art. This
search, which was prompted by Dan’s anticipated retirement, encountered
unexpected challenges as our world was harmed by the two-year corona
epidemic and its aftermath and, more recently, by the outbreak of the Gaza War.
Unhappily, these challenges coupled by their financial impact upon the gallery,
have forced us to realize that our heartwarming 20-year mission on behalf of the
Naïve World and its wonderful artists must come to an end.
We hope that, over these many years, you have shared our regard of GINA
Gallery as a "home away from home", offering an uplifting, tranquil retreat from
life’s struggles and disruptions. It has been our joy and privilege to introduce
you to an unfamiliar, unappreciated art genre and its wonderful artists seek to
highlight all that is positive and enchanting in our lives.
Next week, GINA Gallery will be opening its final exhibition, "Naive Art: A
Celebration of the Human Narrative", which we anticipate will continue for
approximately two months and will display an enchanting array of the "crème-de-
la-crème" of the world’s naive artworks. We hope in this manner to celebrate
the gallery’s 20th birthday as well as its unprecedented accomplishments over
the past two decades.
Our new exhibition will also provide us with the opportunity to express to you
our heartfelt thanks for your wonderful, loving friendship and support over
these many years — by offering for sale all of the artworks in our inventory at
incredible discounts. In addition, it will be our pleasure during this exhibition to
present gallery talks – by Dan regarding his journeys into the naïve world and
his experiences seeking and meeting the world’s naïve artists, and by Maayan
regarding the origin and foundations of naïve art and its unique place in the Art
World.
We wish to thank you for these wonderful years together and hope to have the
opportunity to welcoming you to the gallery once again in the coming days –
along with your family members and friends.
