Edivaldo grew up in the Parana forests and even when – at age nine — his parents moved to a town nearby the teeming city of Sao Paulo, the town abutted a nature reserve whose ambiance had a great impact upon the emerging artist. His breathtaking artworks capture on canvas the humid haze of the Parana forests and the limpid light of the lakes and ponds. With fertile imagination and sun-dappled light and shadow, he depicts the Brazilian landscape in delicious detail, arresting colors and near-accurate perspective.
