Naive Art of Israel

March 29, 2012, 18:00 - May 18, 2012, 18:00

From the Press Release:

One of GINA Gallery’s missions – along with providing a venue for the Israeli public and the worldwide art community to learn about Naïve Art, to be exposed to it and to appreciate this vastly varied genre – is to encourage and support the Israeli artists whose inner “voice” beckons them to paint in the naïve manner. This genre has been neglected for too long, and the lack of an appropriate forum for exhibiting naïve art and appreciating its intrinsic beauty and value has resulted in an undeclared reluctance on the part of the Israeli artists to develop in this direction.
Today, following a decade of GINA Gallery’s efforts in this field, we are proud and honored to announce the opening of this historic exhibition, “Naïve Art of Israel”, which will include ninety works by twenty-five of the most talented Israeli naïve artists .
