1925 (-1988) Born in Comalapa, Guatemala

As a young boy, Vicente was exposed to art when he accompanied his father on his visits to neighboring towns where he restored religious images or when he exhibited paintings at fairs.
Moved to Guatemala City where he worked in the Public Works Office until he joined the army. He then returned to Comalapa where he painted religious images and landscapes.
He combined painting with selling small breads in town fairs.
By 1985 he had already transformed his father’s living room into an art gallery.
He died in 1988 not knowing that his last painting had won an award in a National Art Biennial.
