BIO:

Sharon Mark was born in the village of Ormstown, Quebec, about 60 kilometers southwest of Montreal. Although Mark never formally studied art, she was heavily influenced by her Grandmother’s paintings that decorated her family home.

Sharon Mark has been painting for over two decades. She has broadened her scope to reflect a vision that is less detail oriented but more harmonious. Her subject matter is drawn from the association of a happy rural childhood. Common elements that appear in her paintings are houses, barns, children at play, all set in pristine neighborhoods. Her palette is dominated by bluesm browns, and white. Mark’s work was first exhibited at Jeannine Blais’ gallery in North Hatley, Quebec in the early 1990’s. Soon after, Mark chose to be represented by the Multi Art agency of St-Lambert, who still represents her to this day.
