For the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel, GINA Gallery of International Naïve Art, will dedicate the exhibition “The Land We Love”, to the artworks of local, Israeli naive artists. The exhibition will celebrate the entry of our conflict-ridden country, into its eighth decade of existence, with colorful and harmonious artworks.
The Naïve art genre is characterized by refreshing naivety and childlike perspective. It describes, in great detail, idyllic, simple scenes from everyday life and celebrates the human narrative. Naivism is the only artistic genre in the world that extends from the period in which humanity described the prehistoric man in his colorful roles as the hunter, the shepherd or the planter, through thousands of years to the present day, and will surely continue to exist into our future.
Israel is a melting pot of cultures, communities and religions. These diverse influences, combined with the unique history of the country, shaped her multi-faceted narrative. Each of the naïve artists participating in the exhibition “The Land We Love” has a fascinating story to share, a story that is driven from the artist’s origin, his personal past and his immediate surroundings. The artworks that will be displayed are full of joy, inspiration, imagination and humor, as well as a loving observation of a young, free and flourishing country. This exhibition will hopefully generate optimism in the viewer, and will show that it is possible, and even necessary to create naïve art in a region fraught with conflicts, maybe more so than in other places in the world.

GINA Gallery of International Naïve Art (GINA Gallery), in the old northern part of Tel-Aviv, is the only gallery in the world specializing in naïve international art.
